Our Computing has focused on online safety and how to stay safe when using the internet and gaming. In History, we are learning about exciting explorers and the journeys they make to discover new places around the world.

Personal Developmental Play
At Fortuna School, our play curriculum is far more than a break from learning—it’s a carefully crafted, powerful vehicle that nurtures every child’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
We embed play into our school day, it is part of our lessons, social interactions and we deliberately make time in the day to take a break and immerse ourselves into some play which supports children’s emotional development by giving them the space to express feelings, build resilience, and develop self-confidence. It also encourages social growth, as children learn how to share, take turns, cooperate, and solve problems together.
Miss Weatherall particularly loves messy, sensory and water play, arts and crafts and having music on in class for a dance break!
