Hello everyone!
Welcome to our Class Page, where we will be sharing what happens in our wonderful classroom and updates on the children’s learning.
The adults in class are: Mrs Robinson (class teacher) Miss Walker and Miss Owen-Smith.
Our P.E will be on a Wednesday. Please send your child in with appropriate PE wear (top, shorts, plimsolls).

Handa’s Surprise & Handa’s Night
English
Autumn Term:
We working really hard on learning our phonics looking at our sounds.
We are exploring The Midnight Panther Story. We will be looking at creating who am I riddles and non fiction posters.
Spring Term:
We are going to continue to work hard with our phonics and applying the skills in our work. We have started to go to different phonics groups as well.
We are exploring Handa's Surprise & Handa's Night. We are going to look at creating shape poems, retelling of a story and a non-fictional report.
Maths
Autumn Term:
Arithmetic: We be practicing counting to 20 and beyond, recognising numbers and representing them in objects. one more and one less and began looking at 2 groups of objects.
Measure: We will look at comparing different sizes and talking about the order.
Geometry: We will be looking at 2D shapes and 3D shapes.
Spring Term:
Arithmetic: We be practicing counting to 20 and beyond, recognising numbers and representing them in objects. We will begin to explore subtraction.
Measure: We will look at money & time.

Autumn: We will be looking at what it means to be a good friend.
Spring: We will be exploring and looking at what a healthy lifestyle looks like.

Autumn: We will be exploring Islam.
Spring: We will be continuing to explore Islam, learning about their faith and beliefs and how they express them.
Art
Autumn: We will be exploring the work of Kadinsky and looking at using the tools correctly and mixing colours. We will be looking at how to print with paint.
Spring: We will be creating our own collages and then exploring textiles.
DT
Autumn: We will be looking at healthy eating and creating our own fruit kebabs.
Spring: We will be exploring toys, everyday objects that use wheels and axels.
Music
Autumn: We will be looking at performing, singing and expression ourselves. We will be learning about understanding beats and rhythm.
Spring: This term we will be working with Miss Benson.
History
Autumn: We will be looking at the past and what has changed.
Spring: This term we will be exploring The Great Fire of London.
Geography
Autumn: We will be looking at using a simple compass and directions (North, East, South, West) and locational/directional language. We will be exploring world maps and looking at seas and continents.
Spring: We will be comparing similarities and difference of Lincoln and a village in Africa.
PE
Autumn: We will be looking at cooperative games and learning to take turns and listen to instructions.
Spring: This term we will be looking at Dance and Ball skills.

This is our lovely Science display we have created. We looked at the lifestyle of a butterfly.
In Literacy we have been working on riddles. we looked at different nouns, verbs and adjectives to describe our animal to help us.
Whilst reading 'The Midnight Panther' boo,. we picked phrases and words out of the book to describe the panther and his environment.
